This is a review for a call in dinner take out order. I loved that when I called and asked about the ingredients in the dishes, the employee was able to quickly confirm which dishes contained the allergen. I really appreciated their attention and patience regarding the question! The interior of the restaurant has a tropical vibe with both booths and bar seating. I loved the neon light cat - so cute! The beef pho was nicely packaged with the soup and noodles separated - however I wished the beef was separated so it didn't get cooked all the way. The fried egg rolls with pork and shrimp were delicious as were the fried brussel sprouts (brussels were nicely charred). I would return to eat at the restaurant so that I can enjoy the crispiness of the two side dishes.

Stopped by because the lunch special caught my eye. I ordered it and a spicy Brisket Pho and a kid sized Brisket pho for my son. The restaurant wasn't packed but there were other people so it was lively. Food came quickly. The lunch special gives a few choices . I picked the spicy Brisket, rice and shrimp with pork spring rolls. It comes with some fresh veggies and a drink of choice, I opted for bottled water. My Pho also had beef balls and ham in addition to Brisket. The broth was good but not as flavorful as I like. I felt the broth itself lacked depth. The prominent flavors were missing. Still enjoyable . The beef balls- I didn't care for the texture, neither the ham. Everything else was good. My son devoured his pho and all the meat that I didn't want. Overall nothing went to waste so no loss. I get the feeling that the flavors were muted down to cater to the surrounding area clientele. Anyway the special was a good value and I like the spring rolls a lot. The decor here is so pretty and the place is casual. Cute for a date or meals with friends . There's table seating and a bar counter set up where you can eat if you want to sit on stools. There's 1 bathroom for everyone ,single stall. Outside there are a few benches ,if you like to have drinks. I did see small folded tables tucked on the side of the benches I assume you can put those out if needed ( sidewalk). The staff is very sweet. The host let me know the Pho I order had ham and asked if I was okay with that. I had also asked if the spicy broth was really (hot)spicy because that's what I was craving and she honestly told me it wasn't really that hot. She checked on us and we felt attended to in a friendly way. I want to give the sandwiches and wings here try so I'll return. The ambiance is cool and the kind of place I ike to sit in for solo dining as well. Cash only but there is an ATM inside ( a non- sketchy looking one) - fee is $2.75. Restaurant is ramp accessible. Subway stop - 3 train to Bergen then a 2 mins walk .

Wow, what a gem! Service was spot on and the food was amazing. I highly recommend their spicy short rib pho and any of the spring roll options. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and I'll be sure to come back to try the rest of the menu!

The five stars are for the friendly and fast service and the overall quality of the vegan options that my friend and I had. The veg pho with soy beef was outstanding - whatever the soy was marinated in is worth returning for sooner than later. I had spring rolls and the brussel sprouts appetizers, both super solid as options by themselves as they were decent portions. I liked the space and the cute convenient corner near Flatbush that the restaurant is on. The issue is that it is cash only or Zelle. I called in advance for a reservation and there was no wait.

Perfect restaurant for a cold winter night near Barclays Center. Restaurant was mainly empty when and were seated for a table of 2 right away. There's a mix of traditional tables, booths, and bar counter seating. We ordered the shumai from the specials menu and then bun bo hue and bun with grilled pork and fried spring roll. Solid menu options and perfectly executed traditional Vietnamese dishes.

I'm actually quite surprised with how tasty all of this was. I came in here knowing that I wanted to try the pho but I saw that they had a lunch special so I opted to try that out as well. What I ordered: Saigon Pho ($15.95): I wanted to try a little bit of each meat so this was the preferred choice for me. The soup was a bit sweet but it had the nice beef broth that I would expect with what a bowl of pho. I did order this to go and the soup was very hot in its plastic container but it was nice because when you poured it out, it was still steaming hot. The only thing I wish they had was a side of hoisin sauce or sriracha along with the to go order. Lunch special with popcorn chicken (honey sesame), vermicelli, 2 pork and shrimp spring rolls, and a soda ($10.95). This dish was pretty good because the chicken was crispy and sweet while the side salad gave it a nice crisp with fresh lettuce. The fish sauce was also very tasty. Total came to be about $30 with tax included. Not a bad place to give it a try. They did mess up on my drink though.. I ordered a coke and they gave me a ginger ale but either way, both drinks are good.

PhoBar is one of those spots that I am always shocked out of my mind to find out I have not reviewed until now because I come here all the time. I am a self-proclaimed regular. Favorite chilly, rainy day lunch. Favorite hangover meal. The main reason I keep returning is for the flavorful beef pho broth that is always reliably satisfying. Bahn mis and meat spring rolls go perfectly with the pho. I also love that you can order a set, which comes with half of a bahn mi. The vibes are more modern side than traditional, in a spacious colorful space that never feels too crowded. The service is friendly and accommodating. If you're in the mood for a sweet treat, the Vietnamese coffee is made with Café du Monde coffee and is delish. Note: Cash only. But worth it.
